 WHAT IS THE PANTHERS

ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB?

The Athletic Boosters is an organization of parents and families working with the administration to support the entire athletic program at the school.  We are committed to provide every student who desires to compete the opportunity to participate in one or more sports at the school. In the past few years, the Boosters raised and donated approximately $60,000 annually to support our student athletes.

In the 2009-2010 school  year, the District's budget for athletics was cut by 25%. The Boosters managed to provide the funding that enabled our programs to survive without cuts.

The Boosters support our student athletes by purchasing uniforms, equipment and supplies not provided by the school or funded by the District. The Boosters also support facilities that many teams share, such as the weight room, and help to fund our qualified athletic trainer who works to prevent and treat sports injuries.

To preserve and support our programs, the Panthers Boosters Club needs the participation of every family who has a student participating in athletics. Our major source of funding is the voluntary athletic donation and Booster Membership contributions.  We ask that you donate $75 for each school sport in which your child participates.  And please consider joining Boosters and purchasing a family pass. Every dollar donated to the Boosters goes directly to support our athletic programs.

We also encourage you to join the Athletic Boosters, attend our monthly meetings where we consider funding requests, and volunteer your time in Booster activities.  The success, and the survival, of the athletic program at BHS depends on the participation and support of the entire school community.
